Natsuki Takaya (Japanese: 高屋 奈月, Hepburn: Takaya Natsuki, born July 7, 1973) is a Japanese manga artist best known for creating the series Fruits Basket.
Takaya was born and raised in Tokyo, where she made her debut as a manga artist in 1992. Takaya had wanted to be a manga artist since first grade, when her sister started drawing.Her manga series Fruits Basket, which debuted in 1998, became one of the best selling shōjo manga in North America.
