Edith Falco (born July 5, 1963) is an American actress. Known for her roles on stage and screen she has received numerous accolades including four Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and five Screen Actors Guild Awards as well as a nomination for a Tony Award.
Falco received three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as mob wife Carmela Soprano on the HBO series The Sopranos (1999–2007), and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for playing the title role in the Showtime series Nurse Jackie (2009–2015).
