Mehmed Nâzım Ran (17 January 1902 – 3 June 1963), commonly known as Nâzım Hikmet (Turkish: [naːˈzɯm hicˈmet] ), was a Turkish poet, playwright, novelist, screenwriter, director, and memoirist.
